BLXST: No Love Lost Tour 2021

Image
No Love Lost is probably one of my favorite 2020 albums. I accidentally came across Blxst late last year and I haven't looked back. I probably have a thing for West Coast artist. This is my go to album. The album is so good, I can't even tell the difference between the original and the deluxe. I typically talk bad about deluxe albums, but this one is a HIT. No skips and I'm not exaggerating. It was so perfect from beginning to the end...even on shuffle. Think I had a new favorite song every listen. I wish more people played it more. If you're reading this go bump "No Love Lost" x BLXST, please and thank you! We stood in line for what felt like hours for this show then had to stand up for like another hour and half for him to actually perform. The DJ that was on set during this longgggg period of standing was weak. He would play good songs, but then would play the most random song that didn't fit the mood of vibe at all.  For example he would play all th

Yes, I went to the same venue back to back. Yes, I wore even more comfortable shoes so that I was even more more prepared to stand a long time like I did the night before. I feel like people are so sleep on her. She should have had the same crowd Blxst had the night before. She has a VOICE. Please listen to her album! My favorite song is idk, but it was incredible to her "HEY, SUCKA" live because the crowd felt that and sometimes boys are trash (not mine though) so we call could relate. They kept messing up her music though. She sounds amazing! So stunning! A great show! Loved everything about it. A perfect way to end a week of concerting. DriJack - small with a big voice really good! I may tune in to her music for sure!  Jasmine Janai - This second performer is weird. She didn’t have shoes on. She gave me island girl vibes. She’s gorgeous. Idk if I would listen to her music though.  I don't remember the last person, but she’s from Toronto. Her dancers were a vibe and h

Cole World: The Off-Season Tour

It's me being so excited to be writing about concerts and then realizing how sad my post slick use to be. I'm back and I'm better. This post probably will be short (I lied)....so eager to be writing, but I should be working since they have me in the office. I had a BLAST!! THE TIME OF MY LIFE1 The excitement and joy I experienced..wow. I truly missed going to shows as a hobby.....an expensive one, but still a hobby.  Transportation to shows is always a struggle: Where to park? How much is parking? Who's going to drive?  With the show being at State Farm Arena, I suggest taking Marta ($5 round trip). If you are too good for public transportation then typically you can go to StateFarm's website and do reserve parking for about $20-25. Also, the "Sapphire Deck" connected to Hudson Grille Downtown  (they have decent food and drinks) & The Sky Lounge / Glenn Hotel is about $15+ for parking.  If you hold Atlanta Hawks Season tickets then you get a parking

Date Night ft. Jagged Edge

Hey Y'all....I know it's been a minute! The show was a month ago, but at least I'm writing. ☺️ Let's start this off by saying  🗣Date Nights Are Important🗣 Jagged Edge was our first concert together and I was so excited. I literally haven't been to a concert in forever so this was great. I also don't know the last time I went on a double date, but I'll never forget this one! I wish I could remember the rooftop bar we went to after it was so cute and the drinks did what needed to be done.  Maybe I spoke this into existence 🧐 I'm sure we were some of the youngest people in the crowd, but we were VIP and found free drinks. Now I don't drink brown (tequila has my heart), but I did that night. I've never seen Jagged Edge before and I just know my mom is proud that I did.  The theme was either Pink or Black which was pretty easy when trying to find something to wear. I really had a great time! The tickets were free and it was perfect for a Friday n

PLC: Travis Porter’s 10 Year Anniversary

I celebrated a 10 year anniversary.....I’m OLD! 🙃 I’ve now seen a lot of comments on this video so let’s get into it!  Some of you watched this video and said: Where are their mask? What happened to social distancing? 6 ft apart remember ? (This tweet actually made me giggle)  So I’ll get into the dynamic of the parking lot first for a brief moment prior to giving you all the details of my experience of the show. They really had vendors, a small basketball court, and more as shown on the map.  They had VIP parking which included a meet and greet, photos with Travis Porter & Friends, and a free All Star meal at a near by Waffle House. ICONIC! I should have purchased that package.  🗣🗣🗣 Breakfast at the Waffle House 20 sausage biscuits But they had a section for the Twerkers (refers to  the flyer)! A twerk contest section to be exact! Yes we are in a pandemic, but for some there was money to be made! It gave the video above

Quarantine Questions

I’m finally in the headspace to write so let’s get it... Me:  Y’all:  How you holding up? How you feel about no shows until 2021? How you been, I know music & concerts bring you joy? How’s life been without concerts? The questions that I’ve highkey been asked constantly.  Now that I’ve opened up about how shows have really helped me mentally I guess it’s common for people to care about how I’m doing since I’m unable to do something that  makes me happy/brings me joy.   Even funnier that I started a blog about concerts in a season where not being able to go to any concerts would be a thing. One week I’m enjoying Rod Wave and the next the week there’s a “Stay at Home” order. 2020 came out swinging.  I could have easily thought....Issa joke   I could have felt discouraged, right?? Think about it: A concert Blog....something different, something fun, something where I can finally find the words to release in a healthy way ultimately has to “end” because
