PLC: Travis Porter’s 10 Year Anniversary

I celebrated a 10 year anniversary.....I’m OLD! 🙃

I’ve now seen a lot of comments on this video so let’s get into it!

Some of you watched this video and said:
  1. Where are their mask?
  2. What happened to social distancing?
  3. 6 ft apart remember ?
(This tweet actually made me giggle)

So I’ll get into the dynamic of the parking lot first for a brief moment prior to giving you all the details of my experience of the show. They really had vendors, a small basketball court, and more as shown on the map.

They had VIP parking which included a meet and greet, photos with Travis Porter & Friends, and a free All Star meal at a near by Waffle House. ICONIC! I should have purchased that package.

🗣🗣🗣Breakfast at the Waffle House 20 sausage biscuits

But they had a section for the Twerkers (refers to the flyer)! A twerk contest section to be exact! Yes we are in a pandemic, but for some there was money to be made! It gave the video above some flavor. I loved it. I would probably purchase VIP for a closer parking spot at the next one I attend.

The front was LIVE! The general admission section of the parking lot looked completely different😂. Still turnt, but not as crowded as the front. The show was sold out so it was worth it!

This happens to have been a weekend that I had to babysit my little brother. Aliyah and I already talked about going so he had to join us. I refused to get a ticket for him so originally I thought we were going to have to sneak him in, but it all worked out. We made sure the kid had all of his snacks, games, headphones, and iPad. All he had to do was sit in the backseat and play games! The life of a 10 year old!

We have a cooler so that came in clutch! The event didn’t say anything about outside food and drinks so to save money we brought our own. I highly suggest this!

I’m not sure what part of Atlanta we are located it or what parking lot we stubbled across, but we did make it safe. There were some cool graffiti walls in the surrounding area that I’m sure people snap up at.
The stage was a very interesting setup. Doors opened at 6 and we were about 15-20 minutes early which allowed us time to wait in line to actually get to the spot. As we were waiting to receive our parking instructions....these folks were arguing about where people were going to park. 💀
I loved that they gave each car a card with a QR code on it so that you could order food, drinks, or hookah. They would either deliver to your car or you could pick it up from the vendor. I thought this was a good way to practice social distancing since we are still in a pandemic.

One thing I’ve learned about the people in Atlanta, they will smoke hookah no matter what. I’m not sure what crack they put in hookah, but it’s clearly the essential part of a function.

There was also a menu that looked like this. Please excuse how someone spelled the term “Courvoisier” 😭

They had 2 DJs and the sound for DJ Spinz wasn’t great, but then there was DJ Geronimo. I would be totally happy with life if I never heard the DJ Geronimo tag ever again! I usually enjoy hearing different DJ tags, but it didn’t help that he dropped his tag after EVERY song. He played what he called “classics”.....they were classics of my middle school days. He could have very much been trying to set the vibe for the Travis Porter era though.  I’m also always reminded that the Atlanta tunes the natives turn up to are strange🥴...but that could very much be the Memphis in me. They really love their city here and the pride they have about being from the A, I will always respect it.

Despite the DJ situation if you were unable to hear the show, they steamed it from the 88.9 radio station which was cool. They also did a live stream for those who are still staying home during the pandemic.

I could have saved coins by live streaming, but we all know I’ve been itching for an opportunity to go to a show!

Now the flyer said this event is from 6-9, but Travis Porter didn’t perform until 9! 🙃

By then Lil Mario is requesting for some friend chicken after we already fed him Chick-fil-a. I know we have cancelled this fast-food restaurant, but I made him go to this concert so I got him whatever he wanted.

Aliyah is a Day 1 Travis Porter Fan and as a Day 2 Travis Porter fan we had a great time!

Outside cut them off mid song at about 10:15ish 😂. Like someone unplugged the music and just like that the show was over ! They said their final words and we all went home.

This was the 2nd show that PLC has had and I would for sure go again.

If you asked my little brother how was it he would say, “It was crazy! People were saying bad words and standing on top of cars”. One day he will realize that he witnessed Travis Porter’s 10 Year Anniversary at a parking lot concert during a pandemic.

The concept of a parking lot concert was a great idea. S/o to the creatives that literally thought outside the box.

Cost: $40 - General Admission (I missed the $25 ticket sale)

Waiting on the day Lí starts vlogging frfr.
(I said I would start editing my videos, so they will get better over time as I try to find software that I like. This was edited from my iPad)

You’ve now reached the end and here’s my friendly reminder:
